This rearranged match always promised to be a teaser and the players did not let the supporters down. Clevedon playing without the inspirational Mike Panoho, Christian Bushel and evergreen Chris Page took the game to Keynsham from the first whistle. Clevedon completely dominated, but only scored one try, which was engineered by scrum half Ashley Vailes who broke blind from the scrum and kicked ahead shrewdly for Tom Thie to run around a static Keynsham defence for the touch down. It took Keynsham 20 minutes to enter the Clevedon half with any real threat. Mike Lowis increased Clevedon's lead with a well struck penalty. Clevedon's forwards again gave a good display with the scrummage being the dominant platform. The lineout left a lot to be desired with some erratic pitching. Keynsham got on the scoreboard with a penalty.

Clevedon were unlucky not to increase their lead when a length of the field handling movement broke down when Owen Biggins thought he'd scored a try but was pulled back for an earlier forward pass.
The second half showed Keynsham having the territorial advantage with the wind at their backs. They were camped on and near Clevedon's ; line for long periods, but as usual Clevedon's defence was superb and well organised. The Clevedon back row of Fox, Biggins and Shopland stood out, while the backs tackled their socks off. A rare visit by Clevedon into Keynsham's half resulted in a penalty by Lowis, to increase the lead to 3-11. On Clevedon's last excursion, they scored a well-worked try by Lowis who also converted. Keynsham scored a converted try in injury time.
