Back to 3rd XV fixtures
Oh dear. The mighty 3rds came down with somewhat of a bump this week against a strong Clifton team. With Bristol old boys in the Clifton side the lads knew it would be difficult from the start, and they were right! The power and skill of the opposition were too much for Clevedon and Clifton dominated. Clevedon did however hold their own in the scrums though after the introduction of Nick Leggett in the front row. Er, hold on, who said un-contested?
Oh well, the boys are all up for the away fixture and showing Clifton what they're really made of. After the game Captain Dan Filby was drafted in to the 2nd teams back line to help them turn over Clifton in their game, but got sin binned and Clevedon lost, oops!
It has been said by some that the 3rds need to train more regularly, so after the game Captain Filby called back his troops for extra training the only way they know how, and the Clock Tower's never known it so good! Hopefully after the extra Lucozades on Saturday the team will be able to lift themselves for next weeks clash and get back to winning ways.
