Clevedon 3rds/Rebels/Young Gifted and Fat/All Stars etc travelled to Bridgewater on Saturday for another chance to show those silky skills. Will Stonier set new standards by getting injured before the kick off, foolishly trying to catch a ball.

The game kicked off and the team started in high spirits and scored a try almost straight away after some good passing and interplay. This seemed to rile the pretty bunch from Bridgewater and the game began to get a bit 'physical'. Captain Dan Filby was an example to the team by getting involved in some fisticuffs early on with Andy Hill one of the first casualties of the day with a bloody nose. The offending Bridgewater player was quickly spoken to by the ref and warned to be careful to protect Hill's good looks.

Bridgewater had a large set of forwards and eventually broke through Clevedon's defence to score and convert a couple of tries before half time. Clevedon knew that it was just a case of getting some service to the backs in the second half that would secure a win. However the referee stopped a certain Ollie Morris try by not playing advantage and blowing up early. Further attacking saw a deft chip over the defence by Luke Filby, but he didn't quite have the pace to touch down his effort which deserved a try. James Russell's unfortunate handling error also prevented a certain score in the corner. Aside from the rugby there was also a fair bit of 'argy bargy' in the second half.

Matt Bragg had a baptism of fire with stitches above his eye and Chris Fox found out just how hungry the opposition were when someone bit his hand! Bridgewater had two players sent off farther into the second half, but Clevedon couldn't quite break through their defence and the encounter ended in defeat.
