| Back to 2nd XV fixtures
After last weeks romp this was a wake up call, which was badly needed. With several players not available it was always going to be tough.
Clevedon got off to the worst possible start going 20pts down in as many minutes.the first up tackling was poor as was the decision making.
But to their credit the rest of the half belonged to them with Gareth Bennett and Butch Dunn making surging runs. Clevedon then missed a couple of kicks just before half time which proved crucial.
The second half started the same as the first with Bridgwater in control and took some great defence by Pete Frake , Matt Foster, James Gallagher and Luke Holland to keep them at bay.
An injury to Matt Foster then allowed Ross Brace into the game , and his deft chip allowed Duncan Mcgwyer to cross unopposed. Clevedon seemed to finish the game much stronger and were pressing at the final whistle. Next week, Clevedon are away to St. Mary's Old Boys, KO 15:00. |
