Clevedon playing two cup matches in two days took an early lead with a try by Chris Page after a drive from a lineout. Oldfield hit back with a penalty. Clevedon soon took the upper hand with two tries by Christian Bushell, which Steve Johnson converted. Clevedon, although under strength, were on top and disrupted an Oldfield scrum from which the ball was spread wide for Chris Cates to score, with Johnson again converting. Clevedon's pacy dominance in all areas led to two more tries form Owen Biggins and Tom Thie. The half time score was 38-3. In the second half Clevedon relaxed and made some changes and it was Oldfield who scored first with a try before super-sub Neil Tucker drove over for a try. Oldfield hit back with a converted try to make the score 43-15 to Clevedon, who finished the game off with a flourish.
